Himalaya Crystal Salt – mineral rich salt from the roof
of the world
Himalaya
Crystal Salt,
as opposed to normal salt, is unrefined salt and thus a
100% natural. The unique thing about the Himalaya
Crystal Salt is its high content of minerals and trace
elements (84 different types). The salt’s high age and
the fact that the salt crystal veins run through the
ancient Himalaya mountains, gives the salt the high
content of trace elements. These rare elements cause the
salts colour variations and is also what makes the cells
able to absorb it. When the salt is dissolved in water
it gets back to ion form. The large ion- and electrolyte
content supports the body's acid-base balance and
cell-regeneration. Thus, the Himalaya Crystal Salt has a
harmonizing effect on the body through for example bath
treatments.
A tasty cooking salt:
Well suited for body
treatments:
-
Showers – Carefully
massage a handful of Himalaya Crystal Salt onto the
wet skin and leave it to work for 1 - 5 minutes.
Shower the salt off carefully and gently dry the
skin with a soft towel. It is important to drink a
lot of water before and after. The salt shower has a
purifying effect, especially for removing waste
substances.
-
Sole bath – Use 1,2 kg
Himalaya Crystal Salt for a bath with 120 litres of
water. The proportion of salt in the water should be
the same as in our blood (approximately 1%). The
ideal temperature of the water is 37ºC and the bath
should last for 20 minutes. After the bath the skin
is gently dried with a soft towel without any
showering or rinsing. Rest for at least 30 minutes.
The sole bath de-acidifies and detoxifies and is
relaxing.
-
Sole inhalation – Add
30g of Himalaya Crystal Salt to 1 litre of boiling
water and inhale the steam for about 10 to 15
minutes.
-
Nose and eye rinsing
– Dissolve 1g of Himalaya Crystal Salt in 100 ml of
lukewarm water (1% sole). This solution is suitable
for both nose- and eye rinsing.
Available in two qualities:
